In the wake of a disaster as terrible as the earthquake that struck Haiti in January, it can often be difficult to notice the good intermingled with the sadness and destruction. The outpouring of support for Haiti in this time of crisis has been truly overwhelming: over 125 countries have donated money, time, or manpower to the help the struggling nation, as well as numerous of businesses and organizations and countless individuals. Rarely does an event unite so many people under the common umbrella of their humanity. My poster celebrates the spirit of compassion aroused by this catastrophe, with the parachutes representing all of the different nations, companies, organizations and individuals that have contributed to the rebuilding effort.
