I am an artist/designer living and working in Washington D.C. Hope and Help are the main themes of the poster and are represented in the forms of the hands with the symbols of the heart and the medical cross. The colors of the Haitian flag and hand-drawn elements are included to remind people, even if it's on a subconscious level, that the ability to help is in their hands. The text includes the two basic ideas of the poster, Hope for Haiti and Help for Haiti, and a url to Doctor's Without Borders, so people have a place to go to learn more about how they are helping by purchasing the poster.
