My name is Giulia Spanghero, I am Italian. During the day I am a toy designer for a big italian company, during the night I love drawing and painting anything that knocks on the doors of my heart/brain/belly. Hands are the first that react to everything that happens: even before reasoning they are connected with the instinctive part of human being, and when something so tragical happens, hands have the leading role. In this poster the hand is raising and showing with no shame the broken and bleeding heart of Haiti, even if the hand itself is cracked. But it shows its heart, and at the same time protects it in its palm. The red is connected with the blood and the pain of this tragic moment, and the blue with the hope in the future.
